Pink and White Bridge
April 1, 2014 @ 7:00 pm
10$ – 15$There’s a lot to be said about genuine, honest folk-roots blues bands who go down just as well on a Saturday night as they do on a Sunday afternoon. They might be a dime a dozen, but when delivered with integrity and proficiency, as is the case with Perth band Pink & White Bridge, it really does stand out. The real point of difference for this band is their exquisite three part harmonising. They are releasing their sixth studio album to date on 5th September (out via MGM).
First up the listener will notice the aforementioned harmonizing which is reminiscent of the American west coast sounds of Poco and the Eagles. The next noticeable element is the quality blending of instruments coupled with lyrical tales of love, life, and all things in between.
Pink & White Bridge originally formed in 1994 as a three piece by Craig Pinkney, Paul White and Anthony Bridge (hence their chosen band name) and have since solidified their sound by becoming a five piece. Performing their own unique blend of folk, rock, country and rootsy blues music the group are like a nourishing musical soup, chock full of all the right ingredients and nourishing for the soul.
Regular performers in the West Australian pub circuit they have supported international touring artists such as Billy Joel, Chris Isaak and Clannard and have also performed in Sydney, Singapore and Malaysia.
Featuring Craig Pinkney (vocals, acoustic & electric guitars, harmonica), Paul White (vocals, acoustic & electric guitars, keyboards,) Anthony Bridge (vocals, acoustic guitar, keyboards, percussion), between them they have won over a dozen song writing awards.
